I've been to Egypt twice (in March 1996 and November
1997). This is a country with history going back to thousands of years
and a plenty of tourists from all over the world. And the Arabs is a nation
with quite a specific mentality which is maybe a little bit similar to
Russian one. I've visited many places in Egypt: Cairo, Sinai peninsula,
Luxor and Hurgada (a town at the Red Sea shore filled with Russian
tourists).
I put Egyptian photos to two pages. After looking at this page don't
forget to go to the second one.
One of the three pyramids in Giza - the Pyramid of Khefren.
The famous Pyramids in Giza and the Sphinx next to them. Egyptian
schoolchildren are having an excursion.
View of Egypt's capital from Cairo Tower. This river is the Nile. Wide, isn't it? Cairo faces some problems with the pollution.
On one of the bridges over the Nile. On the left you can see Cairo
Tower.
An arm of the Nile (not the widest). In the distance you can see
Cairo Tower again and some other city's skyscrapers.
On the Coptic cemetery in Cairo. Not all Egyptians are Muslims.
About 10% of them are Christians-Copts.
On the ferry-boat near Luxor.
Queen Hatshepsut's Temple not far from Luxor. Remember my words about tourists?
